Below are screen shots from "Confessions of a Shopaholic". A film about fashion that insults fashion - how novel! I'm guessing that the film is a Hollywood interpretation of New York's fashion scene...quite horrifically wrong...evidence that fashion trends do not travel well!

I think it is fair to say that fashion trends do not travel well. American fashion can seem a little garish to us conservative Brits. What works in London does certainly not work in L.A., and what works in Tokyo won't probably work in Paris (with the exception of Comme des Garcons). And maybe what works in New York doesn't for the rest of the World! Ha, ha, ha...whatevs! Like the home of East Coast preppy labels has no clue about all this fashion stuff...NY fashion week? Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein? And lest not forget all those NY hipsters - Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, etc. Attention everyone - recently, it has come to Chloe's attention...
